Bare Metal Load Balancers
High-Performance Bare Metal Load Balancer Solutions
Today’s network and IT infrastructures are becoming increasingly complicated with administrators requiring high availability, scalability, visibility and security to ensure streamlined and efficiently distributed traffic across a network.
An uninterrupted critical infrastructure and application delivery environment, especially when using virtual and cloud-based platforms, is essential for large Enterprises. Often this requires a sophisticated architecture such as Cisco’s Unified Computing System (UCS), which enables complete server visibility for both bare metal and virtual environments.
Traditionally, purpose-built bare metal load balancers were required to manage and optimise user traffic across the infrastructure. KEMP Technologies, however, has developed a specialised version of its application delivery controller (ADC) LoadMaster operating system (LMOS) to run natively on any Cisco UCS B and C Series server, enabling server hardware to be converted into a high performing Layer 4-7 load balancer.
The bare metal load balancer is also supported on HP ProLiant DL, Dell R Series and Oracle x86 servers.
KEMP Technologies with Zycko provides high-performance bare metal load balancer solutions. Find out more information here.
