Huawei Listed As Challenger In Gartner’s Magic Quadrant
A report published by Gartner Inc., the world's leading information technology advisory company, has confirmed that Huawei has been listed as a challenger for the first time in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for General-Purpose Disk Arrays.
According to the report, which included evaluations of 19 storage vendors, Gartner only includes companies in the Challengers quadrant if it participates in the broad general purpose disk array market and offers a significant threat to those within the Leaders quadrant.
Offering strong products, a credible market position and resources to sustain growth, each of the companies within the Challengers quadrant has sufficient financial viability and merely lacks the size of those within the Leaders quadrant.
Huawei has stated that this result represents the company's recent rapid growth in both revenue and market share within the storage market, as well as the successful expansion of the brand's storage business around the world.
By enabling more than 3,000 customers across over 100 countries to access agile services, Huawei has gained a strong reputation within many IT communities, including Germany, North America, France, South Africa and Russia.
According to Mr Yan Lida, president of the Enterprise Business Group, Huawei will continue to grow in revenue and offer enterprises the tools they need to become "truly agile".
Commenting on Huawei's result, he said: "The listing of Huawei in the Challengers Quadrant of Gartner's report shows that we have been recognised by the industry's most influential research and advisory firm and that Huawei has become a major competitor in the storage space."
