Huawei Unveils New Innovation Center
Huawei has announced the launch of its Innovation Center at the Partner-Port Walldorf, part of the headquarters of tech giant SAP in Germany.
Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, opened the centre this summer to facilitate performance and standards testing, highlight exhibits of products and solutions, and provide training certification. The Huawei Innovation Center will also act as an incubator lab for the development of innovative partner and customer solutions.
It is going to be a joint, collaborative project between the Chinese firm and SAP. The centre will have a primary focus on improving products and services for customers in Europe and, more specifically, Germany, where the project is located. Over the next five years, Huawei hopes it will expand to become its largest joint partner innovation centre.
At the opening of the centre both companies – who have worked together since 2012 on enterprise applications, business analytics, mobility, cloud computing, and data centre technology – shared their views on the future of the enterprise IT landscape. As part of this, Huawei presented its latest networking, storage, server and telepresence solutions.
Kevin Tao, president of Huawei Western Europe, commented: “Although Huawei and SAP come from different worlds, we share a complementary vision for the future.
“We look forward to building a comprehensive partnership with SAP to collaborate on technologies and innovations such as the SAP HANA platform, cloud data centre technology, mobility, smart city, big data, machine-to-machine and others o complement our respective strengths and capabilities.”
